Link. Maybe 19 or 20 years old, he works with his foster father as a carpenter before becoming the hero of Hyrule. On the left side of this picture you can see what Link would look like at the beginning of the game. Ganon has outlawed all weapons and armor for citizens, so even after learning about his fate as a hero, Link has to search for something to fight back with.

On the right Link has already acquired many of the classic items, though some of them take a different form. The Master Sword and Hylian Shield are on his back, a bomb pouch at his waist. The red tunic takes the form of magical armor from the Gorons which gives Link heat resistance and superhuman strength. The blue tunic is now a cloak from the Zora which allows Link to breath under water and swim much faster.

I don't spend as much time doing concept art as I maybe should and this has been great practice. I'll probably keep this up. There's a lot of stuff to design in the Legend of Zelda's universe.
