Man, I adore your design so much. I really like the contrast between his hands and feet. His pelvis region seems a bit long though. I'm sure it's a style choice, it just looks a bit off to me. Maybe it's just how it translates to 3d, cause it looks fine in the concept sketches.

I guess you could think of it as a PC or console character that is designed in a retro style inspired by games of the original Playstation. Sort of like the pixel art trend among indie game developers.
That maybe doesn't come through in this picture, though, because its rendered with a higher resolution texture than the final model will have.
It looks really great , the proportions you gave him just rocks ! The texture job is really fine and detailled and it's funny how well you can perceive it even though you've gone for a psx game polycount and render Did you paint the body maps at the same resolution you did for the face ( as on your tumblr ) ? Was just wondering .
Anyway loving everything on that character , can't wait to see the armor mapped !
I painted the body lower than the head that I put on tumblr, but still not as low as its going to be when finished. Right now the whole thing fits on a 256x256 and I'll eventually scale it down to 128x128.
