At the last game development job that I had, for a while I was responsible for the visual design of most of the things that we needed. After that experience, I've been in the habit of redesigning everything that I look at. I often wonder how the people that design sneakers decide where to put all of the useless designy crap that so often dominates their shoes. I guess there is a lot of pressure to make something that looks different from the last pair of shoes when you need a new model every season. Or maybe I don't appreciate sneaker design in the same way that I think all wine tastes the same.

For reference, this is sort of a cross between a pair of Red Tape shoes that I have and Converse All Stars.
