DWIII - Sir Knightguy by martyisnothere DWIII - Sir Knightguy by martyisnothere
Sketches for the Dominance War contest. This is my second character design for it and might be a passive aggressive jab at the uninspiring briefs that define the Dominance War competitions.

Best wishes on the contest- and I think your rendering of the face there is amazing.

Good luck with dominance war. Wanted to join too, but I think I have no chance against so many talent. Maybe next time..

Anyway - nice work. I think this has a chance to stand out from crowd. Waiting for further updates :)

Btw, "witch" has lots of potential. You should try developing it further in my opinion (if you have time ofcourse)

Loving the 'Chunkiness' of the silhouettes.

Top Notch.

cool, stuff!
Question: do you start your planning from the silhouette?
(because I used to do this like 10 years back and don´t know why I stop, and I believe it´s a nice way to work)
cheers

I rarely start from a silhouette, mostly because I just don't normally draw characters that would benefit from it. My female DWIII character was just a girl in a dress, there isn't much to do with the silhouette of a character like that. I normally start with lots of faces.
